Rate Possible Future Transit Routes at Public Meetings, September 14-23
RALEIGH, NC — Triangle residents are invited to community meetings September 14-23 to learn about and give their evaluation of 16 bus and rail transit corridors proposed for future development in Wake, Durham and Orange counties.
Triangle Transit will host the meetings, which run 4-7p.m. with formal presentations at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 14: Raleigh. Chavis Community Center, 505 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Wednesday, Sept. 15: North / East Wake. Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St.
Thursday, Sept. 16: Chapel Hill / Carrboro. Carrboro Century Hall, N. Greensboro St.
Tuesday, Sept. 21: Durham. Durham Station transit center, 515 W. Pettigrew St.
Wednesday, Sept. 22: Western Wake. Morrisville Town Hall, 100 Town Hall Dr.
Thursday, Sept. 23: Southern Wake. Garner Historic Auditorium, 742 W. Garner Rd.
The Short List So Far
Sixteen overlapping corridors in the three Triangle counties are in the running for major transit investment in light rail and bus service. Some would qualify also for commuter trains pulled by standard locomotives, running at rush hour.
